Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure

I had the most amazing opportunity to be the photography chair for the 2009 Kansas City Susan G. Komen Kansas City Race for the Cure®.

This year the race had over 28,505 Participants; and raised Over 1.2 Million dollars! With the money raised at the 2009 Susan G. Komen Kansas City Race for the Cure®, 75% of the funds BACK into the Kansas City community through their 2009 -2010 Grant Program.

Absolutely amazing! The spirit and enthusiasm was contagious. I was so blessed to be a part of the event. Below is a link documenting the day thru my images...Enjoy!

Something to keep in mind....

As you JOURNEY through life, choose your DESTINATIONS well, do not hurry there. You will arrive soon enough. Wander the back roads and forgotten paths, keeping your destinations IN YOUR HEART liked a fixed point of a compass. Seek out new voices, strange sights and ideas foreign to your own. Such things are RICHES FOR THE SOUL. And if, upon arrival, your find that your destination is not exactly as you had dreamed, do not be disappointed. Think of all you would have missed but for the journey there, and know that the TRUE WORTH of your travels lies not in where you come to be at your journey's end but in who you come to be ALONG THE WAY.
